I cooked Ethiopian food for dinner….
It was delicious!
So it looks like the universe has been around for about 14 billion years ( 1400 million). So after about 10 billion years the earth emerges. So we were on this 4.5 billion year old rock doing pretty well and then about 73000 years ago the mother of all Volcanoes reduces the total of humanity to about 20,000 individuals due to a drought that lasts for 1500 years. Could this be the legend of the garden of eden?
I’m building a distributed recording studio with my friend Myles. We will both be running Protools on our Macs. We will share files across the internet and add overdubs ( Guitars vocals etc) and send them back and forward. We aim to have an album out soon.
I’ve been convincing everyone to buy a Mac.. I have turned to into one of those anoying mac people.
I have to cook the huge beast that Turkey is… I will swear at it at some point. I hope that people are entertained.
We went back to the newest addition to Flinders lane.. Colorful Yunnan!
Along with the usual chinese fair, these folks are cooking up some traditional “Over The Bridge” rice noodles. This dish is served with a layer of oil that keeps the soup scolding hot.. hot enough to cook the qual egg and some laser thin slices of fish that it is served with. The Over The bridge refers to how long the soup will remain hot( long enough for ones wife to carry it over the bridge for lunch).
Anyway.. the soup was delicious! A really tasty broth with a number of tasty little bits of chicken, prawn, crab meat an assortment of vegetables.
Only 9 bucks!
They also serve a number of rice dishes.. going for a bargain 6.50!
The GOOD: Cheap, Unique.. tasty!
The BAD: Air conditioning is set way too cold.
Give this new place a shot for lunch, just bring a jumper, scarf and coat.

I went to a this “cool” Arduino workshop in Melbourne run by the nice folks over at littlebirdelectronics.com Good coverage of the basics of electronics etc plus some focus time on our personal projects. I recommend it to anyone who wants to hook some sensors to their computer but doesn’t know the first thing about electronics.
Justin and Marcus are “Good” guys so go and buy an Arduino or three off them.
Anyway I’m going to buy some more and string em all together and make a unique midi music sequencer.
I’m going to start posting some reviews of the most excellent lunch choices available in Melbourne, with the emphasis on the Asian side of things.
