Life the universe and... Volcanoes?
So it looks like the universe has been around for about 14 billion years ( 1400 million). So after about 10 billion years the earth emerges. So we were on this 4.5 billion year old rock doing pretty well and then about 73000 years ago the mother of all Volcanoes reduces the total of humanity to about 20,000 individuals due to a drought that lasts for 1500 years.
